Aperture — the kinetic style

The second style: the picture is there the whole way down, smeared through noise and split into its channels until the scroll pulls it into focus

Present

The picture is on screen from the first pixel of scroll. It is not being built out of anything — it is being un-smeared, three octaves of noise at a time, until the displacement reaches zero.
Split

Red, green and blue are sampled a little apart along the noise gradient, so every edge fringes while it travels. The separation closes as the image lands, and the last frame is the photograph.
