Features

  1. Present

    The picture is on screen from the first frame. It is not being built out of anything — it is being un-smeared, three octaves of noise at a time, and it reaches zero displacement the moment the hand comes off it.

  2. Split

    Red, green and blue are sampled a little apart along the noise gradient, so every edge fringes while it travels. The separation closes as the picture settles, and the frame it settles on is the photograph.

  3. Derived

    Every colour on this page was extracted from the picture behind it and verified for contrast on the final hex values. Nothing here was hand-picked.
